Jury of the Croatian Programme:

Ivan Maloča (Knin, 1962) earned his PhD from the Faculty of Economics in Osijek. He has been active in the audiovisual industry since 1990, and is the founder of the creative production house Interfilm. He has produced more than thirty feature film, more than a hundred commercial films, and some thirty documentary films and TV dramas. He has received the Albert Kapović Award, three Golden Arenas for Best Film (On the Other Side, 2016, Here, 2003, Marshal Tito's Spirit, 2000), and six Golden Gate of Pula Awards (72 Days, 2010, Will Not End Here, 2008, Play Me a Love Song, 2007, Sleep Sweet, My Darling, 2005, Marshal Tito’s Spirit, Red Dust, 1999). In 2003, he founded the Croatian Producers Association, and in 2009 he co-founded the Croatian Independent Professionals Association. He teaches at several higher education institutions.

Sandra Botica Brešan (Šibenik, 1963) graduated in TV editing from the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. In professional film and television productions she has edited six feature films, five documentary films, two TV series, and two specific film projects that were a part of presenting Croatia at World Expos (Portugal, 1998 and Japan, 1995). She is a professor at the Editing Department of the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. She won the Golden Arena for Best Editing in 2008 for the film Will Not End Here.

Marijan Krivak (Zagreb, 1963) graduated in philosophy and comparative literature from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb, where he earned his PhD in philosophy. For many years he was an editor for the journal Philosophical Research. He publishes texts on film, video and theory in Kinoteka, ARKZIN, Vijenac, Zarez, Croatian Cinema Chronicle and Zapis. He has published several books, including Film… Politika… Subverzija? (2009) and Kino Hrvatska (2015). He is a standing associate of the Croatian Cinema Chronicle, Filmoskop radio show, and filmovi.hr. He works at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek.

Goran Grgić (Osijek, 1965) graduated from the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. Until 2002, he was a member of the drama ensemble of Gavella Theatre in Zagreb, after which he became a member of the drama ensemble of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb. In 2002, he was named the leading actor of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, and in 2008 the national leading actor. He founded and has headed the theatre festival Novalja Triatar since 2005. He has had roles in more than fifty Croatian films and TV series, and has won a range of awards and acknowledgments for acting.

Igor Bezinović (Rijeka, 1983) graduated in philosophy and comparative literature from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, as well as film and TV directing from the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. He has directed some 15 short films and the feature documentary The Blockade (2012). His feature film A Brief Excursion (2017) won the Grand Golden Arena at the 64th Pula Film Festival.
