Duško Dimitrovski (Skopje, 1949) finished his education in Sarajevo, where he was on the editorial board for culture of the daily Oslobođenje, as well as film magazine Sineast. He has worked with numerous newspapers and film magazines as journalist and film critic, including Filmska kultura (Zagreb), Filmograf (Beograd), Ekran (Ljubljana) and Kinopis (Skopje). He currently lives in Vienna, where he works as an expert for South-East Europe film at the Austrian Film Archive.
James Evans (Kingston, 1952) is an Anglo-Canadian film critic and historian. He has contributed to several journals including Little White Lies, Total Film, Cinema Scope, Electric Sheep and is a founder-editor of the soon to be launched online film journal, Day 4 Night. He has contributed chapters and essays to several books and has worked as Senior Lecturer in Film Studies and Visual Culture at the University’s of Brighton, Sussex and London. He has served on juries at several film festivals including Haifa, Venice, Bratislava, Karlovy Vary, Rejkjavik, Seville, Cluj and Berlin.
Bruno Kragić (Split, 1973) graduated in comparative literature and Romance languages and literature from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb, and has earned his MA and PhD degrees in film studies. He is the director of Miroslav Krleža Institute of Lexicography, he teaches film history and aesthetics at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb, he writes reviews, essays and studies about film, and sometimes about literature as well. He was editor-in-chief of Croatian Cinema Chronicle and president of the Croatian Society of Film Critics, and has been or is working in administrative positions in public institutions. He published the book Neke tendencije klasičnog filma: tri eseja (2017).
Sergey Lavrentiev (Orel, 1954) graduated from the prestigious VGIK in Moscow, Russia. During perestroika, he was one of the founders of the ‘new wave’ of Soviet film criticism. After his article “Never Ending Story” (April 1987), Soviet censorship of foreign films in national distribution stopped. In 2012, he finished the book About Schmidt: From Russia with Love about the Croatian director Branko Schmidt. He has written about Central and Eastern European cinema for numerous publications, and is also a program director of several film festivals (Sochi, Zerkalo, Orenburg).
Dževdet Tuzlić (Kotor Varoš, 1955) has built his professional career in printed and electronic media such as Naši dani, Sarajevo 202, Radio Sarajevo 2, BBC WDR and Deutsche Welle Koeln and Radio FERN. From mid-2007, he has been the editor for culture at Bosnia and Herzegovina Radiotelevision and the show Dimenzija više,where he regularly presents accounts from film festivals. He has participated at international TV festivals with documentary and TV shows.
