The short film The Rudeness of a German Lady, written and directed by Silva Ćapin was presented at a press conference today, and will be screened at the Arena this evening. The story takes place at a beach with a whole host of people. “The characters are very different, younger and older, but what brings them together is ignoring the obvious”, said Ćapin and added: “We follow people who don’t even notice that something is wrong there”.

The filming took place at the city beach in Brseč, which poses as an island beach in the film. Locals and foreign tourists flock to the beach by boats. As the film was co-produced with a Hungarian producer, the condition was to have Hungarian tourists in the film instead of the Czech tourists, as was originally planned. Along with lesser known actors, the film has some eminent Croatian actors such as Biserka Ipša, Asja Jovanović, Vinko Kraljević, and Snježana Sinovčić.

he Rudeness of a German Lady, a film by director who has done four short films and is currently preparing for work on a feature film, has already been screened at festivals in Trieste, Palm Springs, Dresden, and in Bulgaria.
