Davor Orlović, Sanela Pliško: Cinematographic Practices and Everyday Life in Pula
1919-1943

The fourth Festival edition of Time Machine presents a cross section of
cinematographic activities in Pula in the period from 1919 to 1943. The book follows
from the previous edition, titled Cinematographic Activities in Pula 1896-1918, by
Dejan Kosanović. Along with the architectural-urban context and habits of the
audience at the time, it deals with the advertising practices of the cinematographers,
which were gaining popularity. Historian David Orlović wrote the texts on space,
people, and everyday life, while Sanela Pliško collected the habits of cinema
audiences from available periodic digital print.
