Nikola is ordered to give up his children to social services until he can provide adequate conditions for their upbringing, and his wis wife has a nervous breakdown. Nikola decides to take things into his own hands and leaves the village in the south of Serbia to travel on foot to Belgrade so that he could end corruption and get his children back. He meets different people on his journey, and is transformed from a marginal figure and a loser into a hero of our time.

Srdan Golubović (Belgrade, 1972) is a director and screenwriter, and an associate professor of film direction at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. He is known for his successful films Absolute 100 (2001), The Trap (2007, world premiere at Berlinale, shortlisted for the Oscar in Best Foreign Language Film category, won over 20 awards, screened at more than 50 festivals), Circles (world premiere at Sundance Film Festival in 2013, received the Special Jury Prize, screened at more than 80 festivals, won 32 international awards).
