OPENING PROGRAMME FOR 60TH PULA FILM FESTIVAL APPROVED
Based on the Decision of the Festival Council, the Pula Film Festival Public Institution published a tender for the opening ceremony programme of the 60th Pula Film Festival on January 14, 2013.
By the time of the application deadline, February 14, 2013, the following companies delivered their tender applications: Aquis d.o.o., Zagreb and Organizacija d.o.o., Zagreb.
The jury made up of Vladimir Stojsavljević (assistant minister of culture of the Republic of Croatia), Hrvoje Hribar (Croatian Audiovisual Centre director), Silvio Jesenković (president of the Croatian Film Makers Association), Lada Džidić (Croatian Radiotelevision representative), Miodrag Čerina (Festival Council member) and Tanja Miličić (Pula Film Festival representative) met at the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia on Tuesday, February 26, 2013.
They recommended the following to the Festival Council:
- The proposal of Aquis d.o.o., Zagreb, was creative in combining film material, acting études and journalists and film critics’ comments but in comparison to the other proposal it did not make use of the huge space that the Arena offers.
- The proposal of Organizacija d.o.o., Zagreb, makes use of the contemporary film discourse and as such it would be an ideal background for marking the 60th anniversary of the Festival and for announcing this year’s programme. However, despite the fact that the Jury was impressed by the proposal, the jury members asked the provider to put some finishing touches to it and to deliver a detailed schedule and script for the 60 years of Pula chapter which is made up of three thematic units: Film Winners, Heroes of Pula and Film Quotations.
Organizacija d.o.o. delivered the finished screenplay of the opening ceremony of the 60th Pula Film Festival and the 3D mapping working material within the deadline. The screenplay of the opening ceremony of the 60th Pula Film Festival, directed by Tomica Hrupelj, Organizacija d.o.o., Zagreb, was approved at a Festival Council session held on March 12, 2013.
