60TH PULA FILM FESTIVAL OPENED ITS WISH BOX
The first virtual candles that will stay lit until someone’s wish puts them out were blown out at the LUKA Multimedia Centre on March 7, 2013, at 12:00a.m.
Making use of contemporary technology and photography very much like black-and-white silent film, the Pula Film Festival and the creative team of Studio Sonda – Jelena Šimunović and Sean Poropat, made a wish and it got fulfilled: by means of an application which visually marks the very act of candle blowing, individual blowing moments were photographed and the photographs were uploaded to www.pulafilmfestival.hr. This way the faces of people that are always part of the Festival’s identity got their “literal” dimension and a keepsake.

The Wish Box will remain in the LUKA Multimedia Centre until March 12. After that it will stay at the Valli Cinema from March 15 – 29. During April and May it will go on a tour through Zagreb, Rijeka, Osijek, Zadar, etc.
The good energy of the wishes is blowing into the back of the sail of the 60th Festival in order for it to come safely to the port and cast its anchor there from July 13 – 27 under the starry Pula sky. Make a wish…
