24 FILMS IN THE NATIONAL PROGRAMME OF THE 60TH PULA FILM FESTIVAL

The Pula Film Festival announced the National Programme of its 60th jubilee edition at a press conference held on Tuesday, June 18. The most long-lived Croatian film festival and the most visited national world festival will have as many as twenty-four films part of its National Programme. Festival’s artistic director Zlatko Vidačković presented the members of this year’s jury. Vladimir Stojsavljević, assistant Minister of Culture, addressed the audience saying that it is a pleasure to witness the development of Croatian cinema, which is best evident in the number of this year’s films, as well as the organization of the Festival as the most important cinematic event in Croatia. Furthermore, Maja Weber, the director of Croatia Telecom’s Public Relations Department, announced numerous films from Pula that will be available at the MAXtv movie rental. Executive director of the Hypo Alpe Adria Bank’s Cooperation with Public Institutions Department Marijana Jajčević was present too and she announced that they would continue to collaborate with the Festival and that they would sponsor the Best National Director Award this year once again. Željko Kralj, AutoWill’s sales director, said that this year once again Opel cars will be driving filmmakers to all Festival venues. The conference ended with the words of gratitude for hospitality directed at Snježana Pintarić, the director of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb, who wished lots of success celebrating the Festival’s 60th birthday.
