Jonathan, 11, and his sister Sophie spend their vacations with their grandfather who lives on the edge of a vast forest populated by mythical animals. Jonathan does what he can to avoid his little sister. He succeeds entirely too well: Sophie is kidnapped by a giant, 1000-year-old bear. Now, Jonathan has to venture into the heart of the forest to confront the strange beings that dwell there and rescue his sister.

Esben Toft Jacobsen (1977) started studying visual communications at the Danish Design School but later on decided to study animation at the National Film School of Denmark. At the beginning he worked as a freelance artist and animator on a number of computer games but after graduating he started directing. In 2007 he earned a Special Mention Award at Berlinale for his graduation film Having a Brother.
