PALME D’OR WINNER “ADELE: CHAPTERS 1 & 2” AT PULA
On July 18, the French film Adele: Chapters 1 & 2 (La vie d’Adèle) by Abdellatif Kechiche, winner of a Palme d’Or at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, will premiere at Kastel as part of the Pula Film Festival’s Europolis International Programme. The film will have a re-run on July 21 at the Valli Cinema and on July 23 it will be presented at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival at the summer cinema Jadran as part of festival cooperation.
The following actors star in this romantic drama: Léa Seydoux, Adèle Exarchopoulos, Salim Kechiouche, Catherine Salée, and Jeremie Laheurte. At fifteen, film protagonist Adele doesn’t question it: girls go out with boys. Her life is changes forever when she meets Emma, a young woman with blue hair, who will allow her to discover desire, to assert herself as a woman and as an adult. The Friend of the 60th Pula Film Festival is the European Union and 12 feature-length and 18 short films from all member countries of the European Union will be presented as part of this year’s Europolis International Programme.
