SUBMISSIONS OPEN FOR WORKS IN PROGRESS PROGRAMME

The Pula Film Festival is now accepting entries for the Works in Progress Programme, the new and upgraded version of which will run from Thursday 25 until Saturday 27, 2013 at the Valli Cinema and at the festival centre. Croatian producers, both those holding majority as well as those holding minority production shares, are invited to submit applications for their feature-length films in progress. The applied projects are expected to be ready for presentation at the 61st edition of the Pula Film Festival in 2014, either in the main or in the minority co-production sections.

Participants will present their projects to a selection committee composed of relevant foreign and domestic visitors of the Festival. Each participant will get ten minutes to present the project (including audiovisual materials lasting up to five minutes) and five additional minutes to answer the selection committee’s questions. Presentations are open to the public.

Apart from the presentations, the programme also includes a preparatory workshop with Dr. Jasmina Kallay. The workshop is divided in two parts: after working in groups, outlining the basics of public presentations and how to avoid common mistakes, Jasmina Kallay will consult with each participant. The aim of these consultations is to identify crucial elements of specific projects and find the best and most economical way to present the core of the films in progress. Dr. Jasmina Kallay will also guide the participants as to how to present their projects before the committee.

The best project according to the committee will be awarded with a valuable award – post-production services of Teleking, the main sponsor of the festival.

Producers are urged to submit their applications by June 15, 2013 filling out the official application form (download). After this date the selected participants will be informed about the detailed programme schedule and about sidebar events.
