After Baja finally becomes aware of Ilija’s intentions and after the two of them demolish Keka’s home as a result of their clumsy showdowns, Keka decides to leave both of them and to go on a trip to the only place where she felt some happiness – to a small coastal village where she and Baja went on their honeymoon… However, things start to complicate because Keka falls under the scrutiny of Lujo, an untypical lonely fisherman-flirter. A Stranger

    | | 87 min | 2013.

    More

When Slavko’s old friend Đulaga dies, Slavko feels obliged to go to the funeral. But in his hometown of Mostar this simple social obligation has the potential to get him into all kinds of trouble: with his neighbours or even with local political bigwigs. Yet if he does not go, his wife will think he’s a coward, the grieving family will never forgive him – and Slavko might have trouble forgiving himself.

This is a compelling tale of everyday life in a fractured society, and a world where paranoia, comedy and drama co-exist. It is also an astute psychological portrayal of a man who is forced to cross the invisible line that divides two communities in a town. Above all, it is the story of a man who lost everything that defined him, when his country disintegrated.

An accidental shot links the destinies of two young women – Anita, a detective who is great at her job and getting along pretty well in her private life, and Petra, a young girl whose everyday life would be much easier if she didn’t have to take care of her alcoholic mother. An investigation of an accidental shot intertwines their destinies in the moment when both of them find out that they are pregnant. Found at important turning points, both of them in their own worlds and equally left to their own resources, the two women step by step become close during the investigation.  They neither planned nor wanted it, it happened by chance. And this coincidence will change the courses they intended to take.

Sasha, a relatively successful theater director returns from the big city to his home town. He left behind a career, and carried with him a disappointment, healed disease and a couple of suitcases. His decision to return coincided with an offer to re-start the neglected local theater. A problem is that city does not have any actors or anyone who would know anything about the theater business.

Although he assumes that interest would not be very big, the turnout was even beyond his darkest thoughts. Only five candidates show up.
The new candidates are not very well educated, so the only where that they could find a common ground are – Westerns.

The action takes place during one of the sessions of a final-year programme in group therapy. The head lecturer for the programme is an American psychiatrist-psychotherapist and the group is made up of psychiatrists, special education teachers and pedagogues. Their motives for attending this programme are twofold: because of their own professional ambition and because of the American professor’s worldwide reputation. The plot is driven by rather turbulent relationships between the characters. At the centre of the story is a 40-year old psychiatrist, Simona K., who is much more successful in her professional life than in her private life. This is not, however, a film about group psychotherapy. That is simply a means for exploring the film’s real themes.
