Short Pula -  Short Documentary Films

Through three personal stories we learn about the life and artistic work of  professional musicians and dancers from the only national folk music and dance ensemble in Croatia. We find out about their unique profession, and about the dedication and commitment of all LADO employees. With their work on and behindstage, they contribute to the ensemble’s extraordinary performances. It is a story of the love of dance, songs, music, and traditional attire. It is a story of the guardian of Croatian traditional culture, and everything LADO has represented for the past 70 years.

Nebojša Slijepčević (Zagreb, 1973) graduated in film directing at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. He has directed, among others, two extremely successful feature documentary films - Gangster of Love and Srbenka (Vladimir Nazor Award for best film accomplishment in 2018). His TV films have earned him a nomination for Prix Europa three times.
