At a time of the great social and political crisis in Serbia at the end of the twentieth century, writer Petar Mirić, who joined the state security service for patriotic reasons, wants to go back to a normal life. This, however, proves to be impossible, as everybody around him ally with someone. In his search for the truth, Mirić is torn by paranoia and restlessness, and is constantly watched by the state security forces. It seems escape is impossible.

Dragan Marinković (Zemun, 1950) graduated in film and TV directing from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, as well as from the Faculty of Law. He is the author of a large number of documentary and short films, dramas, and TV series. The projects he directed or wrote the screenplay for have been screened in more than fifty countries, and have received awards in both Serbia and abroad. He has directed five feature films: Leeches (2018), Take a Deep Breath (2004), Boomerang (2001), Byzantine Blue (1993), and The Bizarre Country (1987).
