STATEMENT BY THE AUTHOR OF THE CONCEPT: Real life is not only made up of our plans about happiness but of what is in conflict with those plans and intentions, what happens incidentally, what is unpredictable and sometimes causes disappointment and pain. Apart from pregnancy and awaiting new life, what links the stories of this omnibus are also incidental events that mess up with plans and change lives. These are the stories of love and hope, revenge, self-denial, defiance, system and we find their characters in some other stories which bring different perspectives. (Nenad Dukic)

DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT: I live in Croatia. Once we shared the state with our neighbouring countries. I remember that state only from my childhood and, as each person loves his childhood most, I cannot judge about that state. I remember it only for living a carefree life. That state is gone. Only neighbours remain, always the same, neighbours that speak the same language like I do and neighbours I understand. Because I understand them, I see the meaning and I want to take part in this omnibus.

DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT: The country we were born in ceased to exist long time ago. However, different memories remain. Those memories can be more or less nostalgic but they are not the prerequisite for this joint film. There is no reminiscence or any longing for a better past because most part of our lives happened in the countries that have been acquiring their national emancipation for the past twenty years or so. And so have we in a way put our work within the framework of our countries. This film is an attempt to shape a story about us as we are today, to communicate one with another in a different guise and to communicate even further together...

Now we tell some other stories, one different from the other, but each of them lacking one single value – love. We bring forth this film together, revealing all the sick moments in our new lives but at the same time, we create a new life, a new world, a world in which love exists.
