This year marks the seventh Short Amateur Film Revue that will take place as part of the Pula Film Festival. Films in video formats .mpeg, .avi and .wmv, with 640x480 maximum resolution and the duration of between five seconds and three minutes, introduction and sound length included, could have been submitted for the competition. The material can be edited but this is not mandatory.
The idea of this years-long sidebar programme is to enable filmmakers, and those who want to become ones, to showcase some of the films they have created in the moment of inspiration and that go beyond our production demands, envisaged to be so modest on purpose, in terms of creativity and expressiveness. The project is a proof that most great things happen spontaneously, maybe even accidentally, and thanks to the rapid technological development, there is an ever larger number of amateurs who record these spontaneous and accidental moments. A three-member jury composed of professionals from the field of film and art shall decide on the best film (or the best idea). Visitors shall decide on the winner of the Audience Award by casting their vote at tportal and at the festival’s website. Our sponsor shall provide the prizes to be given to our winners. Visitors shall have the opportunity to see all the films in the Shortly at Portarata Programme.
