Croatian films from the 53td Pula Film Festival have won a number of international awards. The film Put lubenica (The Melon route) directed by Branko Schmidt was the winner at the Mediterranean Film Festivals in Montpellier (the music by Miroslav Škoro was also awarded), in the Maroccan city of Tetouan Krešimir Mikić won the award for the best leading role and the film was awarded at the Festival in Cleveland.
Volim te (I Love You) by Dalibor Matanić won the prize for the best TV feature film at the annual meeting of the CIRCOM organization in Strasbourg, the award of the Jury of the All Screen Festival in Geneva and the audience award (the main award) at the International Festival in Bursa, Turkey.
TV films Volim te (I Love You) by Dalibor Matanić and Trešeta by Dražen Žarković and Pave Marinković have been transferred to the 35mm tape following the initiative of the Pula Film Festival.
Trešeta won the prize of the Ecumenical Jury at the Mannheim-Heidelberg festival and the second prize at the festival in Bergamo. Sve džaba by Antonijo Nuić won the third prize at the same festival.
Rakan Rushdaiat won the Srce Sarajeva award (The Heart of Sarajevo) for the leading male role at the Sarajevo Film Festival.
