61ST PULA FILM FESTIVAL SIDEBAR PROGRAMMES
The sidebar programmes of the 61st Pula Film Festival have been presented at a press conference held today at the Valli Cinema. Director of the Festival Gordana Restović has talked about this year’s organization and all the sidebar programmes of the 61st Festival. Artistic Board member Tanja Miličić has presented Pula PRO, a new programme aimed at audivisual media professionals and students, as well as this year’s exhibitions dedicated to cinematic art. This year’s music programme has been presented by entertainment programmer Sanela Omanović. Suzana Požgaj, head of the Guests, Protocol and Sales Office, has shared all relevant information regarding tickets.
Pula PRO, a new programme of the Pula Film Festival, is aimed at audivisual media professionals and students. The programme brings a series of lectures by experts in film production, distribution and marketing. World-renowned experts Nik Powell, Charles McDonald, Ray Gillon and John Durie will visit us in Pula to share with us their knowledge and experience. The already traditional section of the Festival, the art and research platform Cinemaniac curated by Branka Benčić will comprise two exhibitions. The exhibition Paper Movies presents Dalibor Barić, Marko Tadić, Ana Petrović, Michel Klofkorn, Antun Motika and Boško Tokin. As part of the Artists’ Cinema exhibition Damir Očko, Igor Grubić, Renata Poljak, Ana Hušman, Zlatko Kopljar, Dan Oki, Matija Debeljuh, Ana Bilankov, Vladislav Knežević and others exhibit their works. The Makina Gallery shows works by Hassan Abdelghani, Zoran Mikinčić-Budin and Nikola Predović. The exhibition showing festival posters by Predrag Spasojević entitled The Guardian Spirit of the Festival will be held at the Serbian Cultural Centre. The City of Pula Wind Orchestra will play the first notes on July 19 at the opening ceremony of the film programme in the Arena, welcoming spectators presenting film music. During the festival nights, we will be entertained by Gustafi/Veterinari, Cinkuši, Vlatko Stefanovski & Vasko Atanasovski Quartet, Blagdan band and others.
