At the press conference of Pula Film Festival Council, held yesterday at the Ministry of Culture and chaired by State Secretary Krešimir Partl, it was confirmed that the 67th Pula Film Festival will be held from 18 to 26 July at traditional venues: the Arena, Valli Cinema, and Istrian National Theatre. The Council has also appointed the Jury, and has selected the opening film.
The winner of the Grand Golden Arena at the 66th Pula Film Festival, director Dana Budisavljević, producer Danijel Pek, actress Ksenija Marinković, cinematographer Danko Vučinović, and editor and journalist Lina Kežić are members of this year’s Jury, and will decide on the best films in competition in the Croatian Programme.
The Festival will be opened by the Croatian premiere of the Croatian-Swiss film "Mare", directed by Andrea Štaka, starring Marija Škaričić and Goran Navojec. The film follows a family of five in which the mother, although leading a relatively happy life, wishes to break free of the monotony of everyday life.
Next week, the complete programme of films in competition and out of competition at the 67th Pula Film Festival will be announced.
