On 27 June, the President of the Republic of Croatia Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović presented the honours and acknowledgments to individuals from all spheres of public work, on the occasion of Statehood Day.
“All of these accomplishments make up the mosaic of what we are, of what makes our common identity; because, as I often point out, Croatia’s biggest brand are its people - its citizens,” the president said. With a message that people are the biggest value of any society, and that everyone needs to contribute to the development of their homeland in their area of work, president Grabar-Kitarović congratulated the laureates, and added that she will encourage their further work.
Pula Film Festival was presented with the Charter of the Republic of Croatia for its long-standing contribution to the development and promotion of Croatian filmmaking and international cooperation in culture. The President presented the Charter to the Festival Director Gordana Restović, and the President of the Governing Council Miodrag Čerina and Head of Pula City Office, Aleksandar Matić, were also present.
