Artists thrilled with jubilee edition, audience reaffirms its loyalty!
The 65th Pula Film Festival was held from 9 to 22 July and included more than 200 screenings across 17 venues, 5 exhibition openings and 9 music evening, some 60 participants taking part in 3 workshops for children and youth, 3 book presentations, and as much as 200 accredited media representatives.
The Award Ceremony was held on 22 July, and of the 17 films in competition (10 in the Croatian Programme and 7 in Minority Co-Productions Programme), the Grand Golden Arena was awarded to the film Mali, directed by Antonio Nuić, while the Golden Gate of Pula Audience Award was presented to the film Comic Sans, directed by Nevio Marasović.
On the last two festival evenings, the PoPular Pula Programme saw screenings of hits Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again and Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation, with more than 12,000 audience in attendance.
The traditional programme at Kaštel, a nod to the summer of film, will run from 4 to 10 August at Kaštel with the P. S. Pula Programme. This programme consists of 14 excellent, highly rated films from the Europolis-Meridians Programme.
