Ezekiel and his fellow pensioners decide to assist their dying friend end his life in dignity. They construct a self-euthanasia device and exercise it successfully. When word about the secret device leaks out, friends realise they have stumbled upon a start-up business – until the moment when Levana, Ezekiel's wife, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease, asks him to use the device for her own benefit.
Tal Granit (1969) is an Israeli director and writer. The Farewell Party, co-directed with her partner Sharon Maymon, is her feature debut.
Sharon Maymon (1973) is an Israeli director and writer. Before The Farewell party he co-directed A Matter of Size (with Erez Tadmor, 2009).
