    This year’s D-cinema workshop, just like the previous ones, will try to provide young Croatian filmmakers with the latest filmmaking skills, knowledge and techniques. World film industry is constantly developing. Last year was marked by a rapid shift to stereoscopic films. This tendency can be attributed to the great success of stereoscopic films at the box ofce. Every larger studio announced a series of new 3-D films and it became obvious that stereoscopic films are not just another technology craze but rather a trend that will remain and survive. From the perspective of filmmakers, stereoscopic films ofer young creative minds fantastic opportunities to explore this feld of filmmaking and a challenge to think up and develop new narrative instruments that this medium provides.

    Concept of the Workshop

    This workshop aims at young Croatian filmmakers who have already been in touch with film production and would like to learn something about stereoscopic imaging. The attendees will gain knowledge on the basic techniques of stereoscopy compared to traditional cinema and fnd out how it refects on production, camera, editing and post-production. The fnal product of the workshop will be a short film, shot, post-produced and mastered in the stereoscopic 3D format.
