• Pula Film Festival Awards - National programme

    For the National programme competition the Jury will grant following awards:

    Zlatna ArenaThe Grand Golden Arena for the best film
    Golden Arena for directing
    Golden arena for the script
    Golden Arena for the best leading actress
    Golden Arena for the best supporting actress 
    Golden Arena for the best leading actor
    Golden Arena for the best supporting actor
    Golden Arena for camera
    Golden Arena for editing
    Golden Arena for music
    Golden Arena for scenography
    Golden Arena for costume design
    The Jury can also grant three special Golden Arenas for: make up, sound and special effects in the film.


    Breza, the award of Croatian daily Vjesnik, will be granted to the best debutant/e from one of the mentioned categories according to the decision of the Jury.

    Visitors of the Festival will decide about the winners of the Golden Gate of Pula award, which will be awarded at the official awards' night. There will be coupons on the tickets which will be used for voting. The visitors will evaluate films on the scale from 1 to 5.  Film rankings will be issued every day in the Festival bulletin. The City of Pula is the sponsor of the award.

    Oktavijan is the official award of the Festival granted by the Croatian Film Critics Association. The critics accredited by the Festival will vote for films from the official programme evaluating them on the scale from 1 to 5.

    Croatian Film Directors Association grants the Fabijan Šovagović award to actor/actress for their special contributions to Croatian cinematography.

    Sponsors' awards can be granted according to the sponsorship agreements.

    Awards are granted according to following rules:
    - none of the awards should be granted ex aequo
    - award can be granted for artistic achievement in only one film
    - award winners will be kept secret till the official announcement at the closing
       ceremony of the Festival
