    SUMMARY: Director Éric Rohmer based his pastoral melodrama about love, jealousy and suffering on the 17th century novel L’Astrée written by French novelist Honoré d’Urfé.     SUMMARY: The former FSB (formerly KGB) agent Alexander Litvinenko deceased in November 2006 in London, poisoned by radioactive Polonium-210. His longtime friend Andrej Nekrasov spent the last days of his life beside him, simultaneously working on a documentary about his life and the circumstances of his violent death. Using flashbacks and statements made by the protagonists of these events, Nekrasov linked the murder of his friend with turbulent political occurrences in Russia after the break up of the USSR, dramatically defined by democratic transition, years-long war in Chechnya, and Vladimir Putin’s coming to power after Boris Jelzin.
