• REGIONAL PROGRAMME: ADRIATIC MARKET PROGRAMME

The Pula Film Festival will this year for the first time inaugurate a regional programme: Adriatic market programme with the goal of presenting cinematography from the Adriatic region countries: Italy, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Albania. The programme will start on Monday, 16 July and finish on Saturday, 21 July 2007.

This regional programme will have a pure market character and will be out of competition. It's in our interest to promote cooperation, experience sharing and film co-production in the Adriatic region.

For the national cinematographies we have planned presentations of excerpts from recent films (the finished ones as well as those in the making, including projects open for co production), screenings of their best recent feature length film (of their own choice in coordination with the Artistic director of the Festival Mr. Zlatko Vidackovic), press conferences and presentation of support materials: books, magazines, brochures, DVDs and CDs.

Beside the films in competition Croatia will also present excerpts from films in the making as part of the First Look programme in the Arena.

Last day of the Festival is reserved also for the Co-production forum.
The programme will take place in the Italian Community hall (Circolo) which will be equipped with the latest sound system. It will in the future be used in the renovated cinema in Pula.

In 2008. at the jubilean 55th edition of the Pula Film Festival, Adriatic Film Market will become a large special event within the Festival. Pula has for decades been the meeting point of film artists and producers from the region and we believe that through the Adriatic Film Market it will regain this status.
